Meet Ann Guajardo

Experienced financial leadership without the full-time CFO overhead.

Ann has spent more than 26 years in executive finance leadership, with deep experience in hospitality, multi-entity organizations and government. Through Ann Guajardo & Associates, she works directly with owners and executives of growing businesses as their part-time CFO.

This isn't bookkeeping or accounting. Ann helps owners understand their numbers, improve cash flow and profitability, build forecasts and budgets, and evaluate major decisions, with CFO-level leadership and without the cost of a full-time CFO.

Your bookkeeper or accountant

Records what happened. Closes the books, files the taxes, keeps you compliant.

Ann, as your fractional CFO

Explains what the numbers mean, looks at what's coming, and helps you decide what to do next.

Most businesses don't lack financial data. It's scattered, backward-looking, or never turned into a decision. That's the gap Ann fills.

Who I help

For businesses that have outgrown basic bookkeeping.

If the business is growing faster than its financial reporting, this is where a fractional CFO helps most.

Businesses I work with

  • Growing businesses that need more financial structure
  • Businesses with multiple locations or entities
  • Owners who need clearer, more timely reporting
  • Companies that have outgrown basic bookkeeping
  • Businesses preparing for a loan, investor or major decision

Problems I help solve

  • "Sales are up, but cash is still tight."
  • "I'm not sure which services, locations or customers actually make money."
  • "There's no real budget or forecast, so every decision feels like a guess."
  • "Our reports show up late, or don't tell me what to do."
  • "The bank wants numbers we don't have ready."

About Ann

Numbers are only useful if they help you decide.

Ann has spent her career in executive finance, where every report had to lead somewhere: a budget approved, a project funded, a cost cut. She started Ann Guajardo & Associates to bring that same discipline to growing businesses that aren't ready for a full-time CFO.

She believes owners don't need more reports. They need someone who knows the numbers, tells them plainly what's going on, and helps them make the call.

Working with Ann
  • You work with Ann.A senior finance executive reviews your numbers and sits in your strategy meetings.
  • Plain English. You get a clear read on what the numbers mean, not a stack of spreadsheets.
  • Practical and hands-on.The focus is the next decision in front of you and the steps to act on it.
  • Available between meetings.Reach her by email and phone as questions come up.
Questions

Common questions.

Do you replace my CPA or bookkeeper?

No. I work alongside them. Your bookkeeper keeps the books and your CPA handles taxes. I use what they produce to explain what the numbers mean and help you plan what's next.

Do you work remotely?

Yes. I work with clients virtually anywhere, and I'm also available for in-person meetings with clients in the San Antonio area when appropriate.

What size businesses do you work with?

Small to mid-sized businesses that have grown to the point where they need stronger financial leadership, but may not need or be ready for a full-time CFO. Businesses from roughly $1 million to $100 million+ in revenue can benefit, depending on their needs.

How quickly can we get started?

I can generally begin working with a new client within 1–2 weeks, depending on the scope of the engagement. For urgent projects, I may be able to begin sooner.
